Overall Process
The initial phase of this project involved thoroughly clarifying the client's specific objectives and aspirations. Subsequently, I conducted extensive research on various similar websites and carefully developed a comprehensive mood board to establish the desired aesthetic look and overall feel. Given the early stage of the business, my research primarily focused on identifying the funders and exploring websites that have similar goals and purposes.
Design
For the design of this project, I aimed to create a simple and clean design. In the design process, the subsequent step involved creating a user flow, akin to a sitemap. I prefer crafting a sitemap prior to delving into wireframes for websites as it aids in comprehending the navigation structure more thoroughly, facilitating convenient modifications at a later stage. After, based on the research findings and the navigation from the sitemap, I created the wireframes using hand sketches and utilized Relume for more refinements.
UI Design and Web Development
I developed the foundational framework of the website by meticulously designing the sitemap to determine the essential structure. This included formulating the navigation system, crafting a clear and concise header menu bar, fashioning a cohesive footer, and generating imperative pages. The header navigation bar was intentionally kept uncomplicated and intuitive to ensure a seamless user experience, while the primary emphasis remained on establishing a fundamental yet efficient UI design. In addition, I also created a style guide to help me keep consistency through the design process.
